The Bosch MHD112D-027-PG3-BN is a Rexroth MHD family synchronous motor. It supports digital servo feedback and comes with an integrated multiturn absolute encoder. The MHD112D-027-PG3-BN also comes with an integrated holding brake which is rated for 70 Nm. The holding brake is required for clamping the servo axis when the motor is in the de-energized state. The holding brake follows electrical release principle of operation. When de-energized, a magnetic force acts on the brake armature disk causing the brake to close and clamp on to the to the axis. When 24 Volts DC is applied, the brake opens due to application of electrically generated magnetic field. The electrical connector is located on side B of the motor. The motor frame size and frame length are 112 and D respectively. The motor winding code is 027.
The MHD112D-027-PG3-BN has a plain shaft which does include a sealing ring. Housing of the MHD112D-027-PG3-BN is rated for IP65 and is designed to be cooled through surface cooling or natural convection. Temperature ranges recommended by Bosch for storage and operation of the motor are -20 to 80 degrees Celsius and 0 to 40 degrees Celsius respectively. Insulation class of the motor is F as per DIN VDE 0530. Characteristic speed of the MHD112D-027-PG3-BN is 3000 RPM and the rated speed is 2000 RPM.
