The Bosch MHD112C-058-PP0-AN is a MHD series synchronous motor. It is used with digital drive controllers for applications such as machine tools, handling and general automation. MHD motors are reliable and maintenance-free motors that are based on permanent magnets. The motors feature a closed design with IP65 rating that allows use in adverse environmental conditions. Components of MHD motors include a stator, a rotor, bearings, encoder, a shaft and an optional holding brake. The MHD112C-058-PP0-AN motor is without a holding brake. The motor housing is suited to natural convection or surface cooling. The optimal ambient temperature range for motor operation is 0 to 40 degrees Celsius. The power connector is located on side A of the housing. The shaft on the MHD112C-058-PP0-AN includes a key and a sealing ring.

The continuous stall torque is 38 Nm at 60K overtemperature and natural convection, 43.5 Nm at 100K overtemperature and natural convection and 57 Nm with surface cooling. Liquid cooling is not available as an option for MHD112C-058 motors. Weight of the MHD112C-058-PP0-AN motor is 45 kilograms. The maximums setup height is 1000 meters above mean sea level. At higher elevations the motor output derates. Insulation class of the MHD112C-058-PP0-AN motor is F as per DIN VDE 0530 Part 1.
