To extend the motor’s operational life, it is provided with an electronic commutation based design that is a replacement for the brushed motor design. The use of electronic commutation ensures that the motor’s peak torque remains available when the speed is changing. The electronic commutation also ensures that the motor's design is spark free which is a constant risk when using a brushed motor design.
The MHD112C-058-NG0-LN is widely used in the industry and is found with woodworking systems, paper manufacturing machines, machine tools, metal forming machines, metal machining equipment, paper printing machines, and foodstuff equipment. The motor is provided with grease lubricated bearings to reduce the friction during high speed operations. The bearings come with an improved design and are able to sustain an increased amount of radial and axial load. This model also comes with a secondary braking mechanism in the form of a holding brake. The holding brake’s main purpose is to clamp the motor’s shaft in a fixed position when the motor is de-energized. This model has a low rotor moment of inertia that is suitable for executing high speed movements for start-stop applications that are often needed in the industrial assembly lines.
