Product Description
The MHD motors by Bosch Rexroth are built with extensive functionality for different kinds of factory automation solutions. They are permanent magnet synchronous motors with a favorable torque to inertia mass ratio; hence they are well-suited for operations that require high dynamics. They also have high operational reliability and are sturdy, being operable without the risk of damage under adverse environmental conditions.
The MHD112C-024-PG0-LN is an AC servo motor in the Bosch Rexroth MHD series of servo motors. It features digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn absolute encoder as its encoder system. This encoder works with the optical measurement method and has a system accuracy of +/- 0.5 angular minutes. It eliminates the need for a separate absolute value encoder at the motor as it detects the absolute indirect position of the motor within 4,096 motor revolutions. It also preserves the absolute position of the axis when a voltage switch-off occurs. This motor is designed to be cooled by natural convection or surface cooling based on its housing design.
The temperature monitoring system in the MHD112C-024-PG0-LN protects it from damage due to thermal overload as it alerts users when such a situation arises. The motor’s bearings are designed for high radial loads, allowing the direct overhung mounting of pinions and belt pulleys. These bearings also remain lubricated throughout their service life, allowing the motor to be operated maintenance-free. It has 4 pole pairs and a rotor with a moment of inertia of 273 x 10-4 kgm2. Its maximum speed is 4,000 revolutions per minute, while its maximum theoretical torque is 148.0Nm. The ambient temperature required for the motor’s operation ranges between 0oC and 40oC.
