The Bosch MHD112B-035-PG1-BN is a synchronous motor. The speed of synchronous motors is synchronized with the frequency of input current. A drive controller provides the electrical power to the motor and controls motor speed and other parameters such as torque and position. MHD motors are widely used for industrial applications such as machine tools, handling, automation and packaging machines. MHD motors have a brushless design. The motor bearings are grease-lubricated for the complete service life of the motor. The motors are made with permanent magnets and feature electronic commutation. The main motor components include a shaft, stator, bearings, motor encoder, shaft sealing ring and rotor with permanent magnets. Bosch requires that personnel involved in handling its products should read and understand the relevant safety instructions. Bosch does not permit modification of product hardware or software.

Any defective or damaged motor should not be installed. Bosch motors should be installed and operated according to regulations and environmental conditions specified in the product documentation. The MHD112B-035-PG1-BN is a flange-mounted device and has a 192 millimeter flange. The motor centering diameter is 130 millimeters. The MHD112B-035-PG1-BN supports digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn encoder. The main shaft on the MHD112B-035-PG1-BN is plain and includes a sealing ring. The MHD112B-035-PG1-BN motor also features a 22 Nm rated motor holding brake. The brake is rated for 24 Volts DC.
