Product Description
MHD synchronous motors by Bosch Rexroth are another one of the company's brilliant innovations. In addition to the digital drive controllers, MHD motors are economical automation systems that can be used across different fields, including handling and automation, printing and paper processing machines, packaging and food processing machines, and machine tools. They are permanent magnet motors with electronic commutation that do not require extensive maintenance yet function reliably. They are also effortless to set up because of the motor’s data memory.
The MHD093C-035-PG2-BA uses digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn optical encoder, controlling its speed and tracking its position. This encoder detects the motor’s absolute position and has up to 4096 revolutions. It also has a system accuracy of +/- 0.5 angular minutes. This motor’s driveshaft is plain with a shaft sealing ring which allows the motor to run smoothly without friction. It has a holding brake of 32 Nm and a maximum motor speed of 4,500 revs per minute, with 4 pole pairs. Its torque to inertia mass ratio makes it well suited for high dynamics operations. Also, its power output connector is via side B, and it can be easily attached to the machine because of its flange size of 140/150 mm as per DIN 42948.
Cooling of the MHD093C-035-PG2-BA’s housing is by surface cooling or natural convection, and it should be operated at an ambient temperature between 0 °C to 40 °C. Its protection rating is IP 65, as it is protected from dust, water, penetrative oils, and complete shock. It is coated in black (RAL 9005) paint, protecting it against harsh weather, coloring, diluted acids, chalking, and lyes.
