The MHD093B-058-NP1-BA model is well-suited for high torque applications and is widely used by international manufacturers to develop a rapid-response motion control system. The motor provides smooth transmission of torque with continuous start-stop operations. Due to its brushless design and IP65 protection category, the MHD synchronous motor provides maintenance-free operation under extreme loading conditions. Some of the major applications of MHD synchronous motors are printing machines, machine tools, food processing machines, and textile machines. The MHD093 synchronous motor comes with a 24 VDC clamping brake to clamp the shaft at standstill during the de-energized state. The clamping brake generates the clamping torque of 22 Nm while consuming the rated current of 0.71 A. The MHD093 synchronous motor consumes the continuous current of 4.9 – 13.6 A to produce the continuous torque of 5.4 – 15 Nm. Under extreme working conditions, the motor delivers the rated performance of 1.7 – 4.1 kW at natural convection and 7.6 kW at natural cooling mode. The blower unit uses external air to maintain the ambient temperature of the motor.
The model MHD093B-058-NP1-BA has a thermal time constant of 30 – 60 min and the motor has 4 pole pairs. The voltage constant of the motor is 79 V/1000 rpm and the torque constant of the motor is 0.87 Nm/A. A prime black coat is applied to the surface of the motor housing and it is secured under insulation class F. The permissible temperature range for this synchronous motor is 0 to +40 degree Celsius.
