The Bosch MHD093B-035-PP0-AA is convection cooled servo motor. It supports digital servo feedback with integrated multiturn absolute encoder. The encoder is a device that tracks the motor speed, position and other parameters. The parameters measured by the motor encoder are transmitted to a drive controller through a feedback cable. The drive controller is able to compare the feedback from the motor with desired motor parameters that are programmed by the user or operator. In case of deviation from desired parameters, the drive controller adjusts its output signals to bring the motor parameters in line with desired valued. This is an example of a closed loop control system. The measurement of motor parameters, transmission of feedback to the controller, and controller output adjustment are a continuous process that continues throughout the operation of the machine for which the motor and controller are deployed.
In combination with drive controller, the MHD093B-035-PP0-AA motor is widely used for industrial applications such as machine tools printing machines, automation and packaging machines. The motor does not feature a holding brake. However, brakes rated for 22 Nm and 332 Nm can be ordered for MHD093 motors if required. The shaft on the MHD093B-035-PP0-AA includes a keyway and a seal. The motor power connection is situated on side A of the motor housing. Heat from the motor dissipates to the surrounding air through natural convection. Forced-air cooling can be used to improve the rate of cooling. However, with appropriate ventilation the motor can cool without assistance from external active devices. Recommended ambient conditions for motor operation include 0 to 40 degrees Celsius temperature and 0 to 1000 meters altitude. Only qualified personnel should assemble and install the motor.
