Product Description
Bosch Rexroth is known for designing and manufacturing solutions to automation challenges for the global drive and motion industry. The MDD synchronous motors are one of these solutions. They are permanent magnet-excited motors with electronic commutation. Their typical areas of application include tool machines, textile machines, printing and packaging machines, robotics, handling equipment, and transfer facilities. Using the MDD synchronous motors makes it possible to achieve, both technically and cost-effectively, the most optimum solution for just about any application.
The MDD117B-N-030-N2M-130PB1 is an MDD motor model equipped with digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn encoder that permits absolute indirect position detection on the motor. It is equipped with a blocking brake that allows a backlash-free holding of the servo axis when the machine is powered off. This motor also has an output shaft with a keyway for form-fitting torque transmissions, which is suitable for operations with lesser demands. It has a nominal speed of 3,000 rpm and a centering diameter of 130mm.
Natural convection and surface cooling are the supported cooling methods for the MDD117B-N-030-N2M-130PB1. Its housing design is standard in construction and design in line with the guidelines of the DIN 40050, and it has an Ingress Protection Rating of IP 65. This means that the motor is dustproof, touch-proof, and safe from damage by the penetration of water jet sprays. It can also be operated as a maintenance-free motor due to its brushless design and lifetime-lubricated bearings. It is characterized by a high overload capability owing to the efficient heat conduction from the stator windings to the outside wall of its housing. Additionally, it features a thermal sensor in these windings.
