Product Description
Bosch Rexroth designed its MDD motors to ensure high contouring accuracies at high feed rates, especially when used for cutting in high speed ranges. The synchronous motors are used to build cost-effective rapid-response automation systems. To achieve this, they are integrated with the digital drive controllers by Indramat. Drives with these servo motors are used in printing and packaging machines, robotics, and textile machines.
The MDD115D-N-020-N2M-130PA0 is a Bosch Rexroth MDD motor model with a nominal speed of 2,000 revolutions per minute. It can generate a theoretical maximum torque of 177.2Nm and has a rotor whose moment of inertia is 271 x 10-4 kgm2. The permanent magnets of this rotor are composed of rare-earth or iron oxide magnetic materials, giving the motor low inertia. As a result, it has a favorable torque-inertia ratio that supports high dynamics. The MDD motor also has a brushless design and bearings that remain lubricated throughout their service life, allowing it to be operated maintenance-free. Its bearings support the direct attachment of pinions and belt pulleys to the shaft and have an operating lifetime of 30,000 operating hours.
Because of the sealed housing design of the MDD115D-N-020-N2M-130PA0, it can be safely operated under adverse environmental conditions. This housing supports heat dissipation by natural convection and surface cooling. Its Ingress Protection rating is IP 65 per EN 60529, indicating that it is touch-proof, dust-proof, and impenetrable by sprays from water jets. The output shaft of this MDD model is one with a keyway according to DIN 6885 and a shaft sealing ring. It promotes a form-fitting torque transmission, while its sealing ring prevents liquids from entering the motor through the shaft.
