Product Description
Bosch Rexroth's MDD motors are manufactured for a wide variety of functions due to their unique design. These motors are permanent magnet-excited synchronous motors with electronic commutation. They can be combined with IndraDrive controllers to create cost-effective and rapid response automation systems. Their typical areas of applications include machine tools, textile machines, printing and packaging machines, robotics, handling equipment, and transfer facilities.
The MDD115D-N-020-N2L-130PB0 has a high power density, and this makes it suitable for highly dynamic applications such as roller feeds for pressing, punching, and nibbling machines and tools changing devices. It has a compact size and high power-to-weight ratio that allows its installation in any desired position. Its integrated encoder is the digital servo feedback used to evaluate the motor’s position and speed and to detect the rotor position. This encoder has a data memory for reading and storing the motor's data to quicken its startup. The nominal speed of this motor is 3,000 revolutions per minute, and its centering diameter is 130mm.
Cooling is via natural convection and surface cooling in the MDD115D-N-020-N2L-130PB0. Heat is lost via conduction from the stator windings to the outside wall of the motor housing. This gives the motor a high overload capability. Temperature monitoring is via a temperature sensor built into its windings to monitor its temperature and prevent overload damage. The motor’s housing design is standard in construction and design and follows the guidelines of the DIN 40050. The housing is completely sealed so the motor can be used in harsh working environments. It is painted with a black prime coating which is resistant to weathering, yellowing and chalky build-ups, and diluted acids and lyes.
