Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s product portfolio features future-proof drive and motion control products among other things. The MDD servo motors by the engineering giant have proved useful in solving numerous automation challenges. They also ensure high contouring accuracies at high feedrates.
The MDD115D-N-015-N2L-130PB2 is a synchronous servo motor in the MDD series with a sealed housing. This allows its safe use in harsh environmental conditions. In line with the DIN 40 050 guidelines, its Ingress Protection rating is IP 65, indicating that it does not permit the entry of solid external materials and multidirectional water jets. The servo motor’s nominal speed is 1,500 revolutions per minute and it generates a theoretical maximum torque of 177.3Nm. Its rotor’s moment of inertia is 271 x 10-4 kgm2 and it is composed of permanent magnets made from special materials. This gives the motor a low inertia that makes it suitable for high dynamics. It also has a high power density that supports highly dynamic applications like roller feeds for pressing, punching and nibbling machines.
Digital servo feedback with a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular minutes is the integrated encoder system of the MDD115D-N-015-N2L-130PB2. It detects the motor’s relative indirect position and eliminates the need for a separate incremental encoder. The data memory of the encoder stores parameters like the motor type name and control loop parameters, quickening the MDD motor’s startup and aiding its safe adjustment to the drive controller. An output shaft with keyway according to DIN 6885-1 provides form-fitting torque transmission in the servo motor. Like other models in the series, it has a shaft sealing ring that prevents fluids from entering the motor through the shaft.
