Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s automation units are known for their state-of-the-art and future-proof features. The MDD synchronous servo motors are products by the company available in varying torques, speeds, and sizes to aid application-specific use. They also form rapid-response automation systems with Indramat drive controllers.
The MDD115D-F-020-N2L-130GA2 is an MDD servo motor with a centering diameter of 130mm and a nominal speed of 2,000 revolutions per minute. It is coated with a black prime varnish that protects it from harmful agents like yellowing, chalky buildup, weathering, and lyes. Its compact construction gives it a high power-to-weight ratio, while its sealed housing permits its operation in the working area of the machine, even in poor environmental conditions. The servo motor has a plain output shaft that provides a non-positive shaft-hub connection with zero backlash and a sealing ring that prevents fluids from penetrating the motor through this shaft. Its blocking brake of 60.0Nm torque brings the axis to a safe standstill when it is disconnected from power.
To give the MDD115D-F-020-N2L-130GA2 high operational reliability, it is built with a brushless design and lifetime-lubricated bearings. It also features electronic commutation and hence, a high cyclic load capacity that permits continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates. Thanks to the inbuilt temperature monitoring system in the motor, irreversible damage due to thermal overload can be averted. This system consists of a sensor built into its stator. The MDD model has connections for power and feedback cables that meet the requirement of the IP 65 protection category according to DIN 40 050. This means that it is touch-proof, dustproof, and impervious to water jets sprayed at it from different directions.
