The MDD115D-F-015-N2L-130GB0 is a servo motor in the MDD series designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It has digital servo feedback as its motor feedback system, which evaluates its relative indirect position. This encoder’s system accuracy is ±0.5 angular minutes, and it works with the optical measurement method. Its data memory stores motor parameters, so they are set once the motor is powered up, reducing its startup time and aiding its safe adjustment to the drive controller. Like other MDD motors, this model’s Ingress Protection rating is IP 65 per EN 60529. Hence, it is touch-proof, dustproof, and impervious to water jets from different directions. This also makes it suitable for use in harsh environmental conditions without the risk of damage.
Because it is dynamically balanced in terms of Balance Class R per DIN VDE 0530, the MDD115D-F-015-N2L-130GB0 is suitable for demanding applications like grinding machines. It has a plain output shaft with a shaft sealing ring to provide a non-positive shaft-hub connection with zero backlash. With its lifetime-lubricated bearings and brushless design, the servo motor allows maintenance-free operation. A thermal sensor is built into its stator windings to monitor its temperature and protect it from damage due to thermal overload. In addition, the permanent magnet of its rotor is composed of special materials that give it low inertia. As a result, the MDD motor’s torque-inertia ratio favors high dynamics.
