Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s MDD motors are permanent-magnet excited motors used to build rapid-response automation systems. To achieve this, they are combined with intelligent digital drive controllers from Indramat. Other applications of the motors include robotics, textile machines, and handling equipment.
The MDD115D-F-015-N2L-130GA1 is a model of Bosch Rexroth’s synchronous MDD motors with a compact, brushless design. Hence, there is minimized risk of wear and tear and high efficiency. It also has lifetime-lubricated bearings with a nominal service life of 30,000 operating hours, reducing the need for maintenance. The servo motor’s digital servo feedback detects its relative indirect position and has a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular minutes. Its range with absolute position detection is 4,096 motor revolutions, while its measuring principle is the optical system. With this encoder, there is no need for a separate incremental encoder and high–level precision is guaranteed. It also stores parameters like the motor type name in its data memory.
A black prime varnish coats the sealed housing of the MDD115D-F-015-N2L-130GA1. It protects the motor from chalky buildup, yellowing, lyes, and weathering. The sealed housing is impervious to multidirectional water jets and solid extrinsic materials; hence, it has an IP 65 Ingress Protection rating. Another protective feature of the MDD servo motor is the thermal sensor built into its stator windings to monitor its temperature. It prevents irreversible damage due to thermal overload. The motor’s nominal speed is 1,500 revolutions per minute, and its centering diameter is 130mm. It is dynamically balanced in terms of Balance Class N per DIN VDE 0530 and has a plain output shaft. Its permitted ambient temperature for operation is between 0oC and 45oC.
