Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s MDD synchronous motors are permanent magnet-excited motors with electronic commutation. Their permanent magnets are composed of rare earth or iron oxide magnetic materials, giving them low inertia. They can be combined with intelligent digital drive controllers from Indramat to create cost-effective and rapid-response automation systems. The use of these motors guarantees high contouring accuracies at high feed rates, especially when they are used for cutting at high-speed ranges.
The MDD115C-N-020-N2L-180PA2 has a high power density, making it adequate for use in highly dynamic applications as seen in roller feeds for pressing, punching, and nibbling machines and tools changing devices. It has a nominal speed of 2,000 rpm and a customized centering diameter of 180mm. Furthermore, it is equipped with a temperature sensor that prevents damage by thermal overload. Its standard housing design is suited for cooling by natural convection and surface cooling. This design is according to the guidelines of the DIN 40 050 with an Ingress Protection Rating of IP 65. The housing is completely sealed; hence it can be safely used under poor environmental conditions.
Digital servo feedback is the motor feedback option of the MDD115C-N-020-N2L-180PA2. This feedback option allows the relative indirect evaluation of the motor's position and stores it in the intelligent digital drive. Its output shaft is a shaft with a keyway according to DIN 6885-1 for form-fitting shaft-hub-connections. It is also equipped with a blocking brake with 40.0Nm torque for a backlash-free holding of the servo axis when the machine is disconnected from power. It should be operated at an ambient temperature of 40°C and a maximum setup height of 1000m above the mean sea level.
