Product Description
Bosch Rexroth's MDD digital AC servo motors have unique designs and are used for a wide variety of functions. They are used in conjunction with intelligent Rexroth Indradrive systems to create cost-effective and rapid-response automation systems. The MDD servo motor series has nine motors with varying torques and speeds for various applications. They promise high contouring accuracies at high feed rates, especially when used in cutting high-speed ranges. Their typical applications include machine tools, textile machines, printing and packaging machines, robotics, handling equipment, and transfer facilities.
The nominal speed of the MDD115C-N-020-N2L-180GA1 is 2,000 rotations per minute. Its pilot diameter is 180mm, and it is equipped with a blocking brake of 60Nm torque. This blocking brake allows its plain output shaft to be held at a standstill when power is off. The motor's high power density makes it suitable for highly dynamic applications such as roller feeds for pressing, punching, and nibbling machines and tools changing devices. Its compact build allows installation in any position in addition to the motor's high power-to-weight ratio.
A temperature sensor is built into the windings of the MDD115C-N-020-N2L-180GA1 to protect it against overheating. It also features digital servo feedback, which permits the relative indirect detection of its position and the evaluation of its speed. The motor’s housing is painted with a black prime coating, which is resistant to weathering, yellowing and chalky build-ups, and diluted acids and lyes. It is completely sealed and suited for cooling by natural convection. Its protection class is IP 65, allowing it to function in poor environmental conditions. Its brushless design allows for a maintenance-free operation, thereby giving it a high degree of operational reliability.
