Product Description
Rapid-response automation systems can be created using servo motors in the MDD series and intelligent drive controllers from Indramat. The MDD servo motors by Bosch Rexroth are synchronous motors designed to be used for a wide range of applications. Drives with these motors are used in robotics, handling equipment, and transfer facilities.
The MDD115C-N-020-N2L-130PB1 is an MDD motor model designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. Its brushless design and lifetime lubricated bearings allow it to be operated maintenance-free with a high level of efficiency. These bearings support the application of high radial loads, thereby allowing pinions and belt pulleys to be directly attached to the shaft. The shaft on this motor is one with a keyway according to DIN 6885-1, and it has a shaft sealing ring. It allows the form-fitting transmission of torque and is suitable for lesser demands. This MDD motor is also equipped with a blocking brake of 45.0Nm torque.
The cooling of the MDD115C-N-020-N2L-130PB1 is by natural convection and surface cooling. Heat is effectively transferred from the stator windings of the motor to the outside wall of its housing, giving it a high overload capability. The motor’s electronic commutation feature endows it with a high cyclic load capacity so that it can be used for continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates. Its nominal speed is 2,000 revolutions per minute and its rotor’s moment of inertia is 222 x 10-4 kgm2. The operation of this motor in adverse environmental conditions is possible because it is completely sealed and has an Ingress Protection rating of IP 65. It is also dust-proof, touch-proof, and resistant to the penetration of sprays from water jets.
