Product Description
Some applications for which Bosch Rexroth’s MDD servo motors are well-suited include robotics, handling equipment, machine tools, and transfer facilities. The synchronous servo motors with low inertia are electronically commutated and have a high cyclic load capacity.
The MDD115C-N-020-N2L-130GB0 is a Bosch Rexroth MDD servo motor built for maintenance-free operation. Its use of lifetime-lubricated bearings promotes such operations by eliminating the need for regular lubrication. This reduces costs and energy losses, improving the motor’s overall operational reliability. It also has a brushless design for superior performance in terms of speed, torque, and accuracy. Other benefits of this brushless design include the reduced generation of electromagnetic interference and audible noise. The MDD motor generates a theoretical maximum torque of 146.2Nm and reaches a nominal speed of 2,000 revolutions per minute. It is equipped with a thermal sensor in its windings to monitor its temperature, preventing irreversible damage due to thermal overload.
With its high power density, the MDD115C-N-020-N2L-130GB0 is ideal for highly dynamic operations like roller feeds for punching, pressing, and nibbling machines, and tool-changing devices. The black prime varnish coating its housing protects it from chalky buildup, yellowing and weathering. It is also resistant to dilute acids and lyes. Its housing is sealed and impervious to multidirectional water jets and solid external materials. According to the DIN 40 050 standard, its Ingress Protection rating is IP 65. This is why it can be used directly within the working area of the machine without the risk of damage. Digital servo feedback detects its relative indirect position and stores the information obtained in the intelligent digital drive controller. The encoder’s system accuracy is ±0.5 angular minutes.
