Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s focus on innovation and research leads to its creation of highly functional drive and motion control products. Its MDD motors are permanent magnet-excited digital AC servo motors used in machine tools and transfer facilities.
The MDD115C-F-020-N2L-130GA1 is a synchronous servo motor with electronic commutation. It is an MDD model fitted with a plain output shaft and a shaft sealing ring. This shaft guarantees a backlash-free and non-positive transmission of torque, while its sealing ring protects it from fluid penetration. The motor’s rotor has permanent magnets derived from rare-earth materials to give it a low inertia. It also has a favourable torque-inertia ratio for highly dynamic operations. Thanks to its brushless design and lifetime-lubricated bearings, it can be operated maintenance-free. These bearings have a nominal service life of 30,000 operating hours and prevent energy losses during its operation. The motor’s nominal speed is 2,000 revolutions per minute.
Digital servo feedback is the integrated motor feedback system of the MDD115C-F-020-N2L-130GA1. It evaluates its relative indirect position using the optical measuring principle and has a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular minutes. The housing of the MDD motor has an Ingress Protection rating of IP 65 according to DIN 40 050, protecting it from dust ingress and the penetration of multidirectional water jets. It is dynamically balanced in terms of Balance Class N per VDE 0530, indicating its suitability for normal applications. Because of its high power density, it is also ideal for highly dynamic operations like roller feeds for punching, pressing, and nibbling machines, and tool-changing devices. The servo motor’s 45.0Nm blocking brake holds the servo axes backlash free when the machine is disconnected from power.
