Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s MDD motors are components of drives mainly used in applications like textile machines, robotics, food packaging machines, printing machines, and handling equipment. They are permanent magnet-excited servo motors available in varying frame sizes, speeds, and torques.
The MDD115B-N-030-N2M-130PB0 is a Bosch Rexroth synchronous servo motor with an output shaft with keyway per DIN 6885-1. This shaft provides a form-fitting torque transmission and has a shaft sealing ring that keeps liquids from entering the motor. The MDD motor’s housing is sealed and suitable for operation under harsh environmental conditions. Its Ingress Protection rating is IP 65 in line with DIN 40 050 as it is touch-proof, dustproof, and impervious to multidirectional water jet sprays. It is suitable for continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates due to its high cyclic load capacity resulting from the electronic commutation feature. The rotor in the MDD model has permanent magnets composed of special materials so that the motor has low inertia.
To protect the MDD115B-N-030-N2M-130PB0 from permanent damage due to thermal overload, it is equipped with a thermal sensor built into its stator windings. It can be operated maintenance-free thanks to its brushless design and bearings that remain lubricated throughout their service life. The motor feedback in the MDD model is digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn absolute encoder, and it has a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular minutes. This encoder eliminates the need for separate encoders and evaluates the motor’s absolute indirect position. It stores the information obtained in the drive controller and retains it even after power is switched off. The servo motor has a nominal speed of 3,000 revolutions per minute.
