MDD115B-N-020-N2L-180PB0 is a digital AC motor. It belongs to the MDD product line. Bosch MDD motors support digital servo feedback. They must be deployed as part of a servo system with a compatible servo controller. MDD motors have a brushless design. The motor bearings are lubricated for the entire operating life of the motor. These two features combine to ensure that operators don’t need to maintain MDD motors, which improves their reliability and reduces the total cost of ownership. The MDD115B-N-020-N2L-180PB0 is MDD motor with an IP65-rated housing. This type of housing provides special benefits for operators, including the ability to use the motor in a wide range of operating conditions where the motor may be exposed to dust, moisture and other environmental contaminants. The motor shaft has a seal that requires periodic replacement.

The motor shaft includes a keyway that complies with the requirements of DIN 6885-1. The peak motor speed is 2000 RPM. It does not feature an optional blocking brake. Cooling methods supported by the motor include surface cooling and natural convection. Surface cooling requires the use of a compatible cooling blower or fan. Its advantage is increased heat dissipation leading to increased torque output. Natural convection can only be used for applications with low torque requirements. The main connection is located onside B of the motor housing. Rated output for MDD motor is available over temperatures ranging from 0 to 45 degrees Celsius. The motor output derates at temperatures that lie between 45 and 55 degrees Celsius. Insulation classification of the MDD115B-N-020-N2L-180PB0 motor is F. Its housing is coated with black prime coat. Frequent cleaning with a steam cleaner can damage this coating.
