Product Description
Bosch Rexroth is a renowned designer and manufacturer of several functional factory automation units, such as the MDD servo motors. These permanent magnet-excited servo motors with electronic commutation have high overload capacity. As a result, they are ideal for continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates. Their typical applications include machine tools, handling equipment, and robotics.
The MDD115A-N-030-N2M-130GB1 is a Bosch Rexroth synchronous servo motor in the MDD series. It has a compact build and high power density, making it suitable for highly dynamic operations such as roller feeds for pressing, punching, and nibbling machines and tool changing devices. It also features a brushless design and bearings that remain lubricated throughout their service life; hence, it can be operated maintenance-free. These bearings support the application of high radial loads and the direct attachment of pinions and belt pulleys to the shaft. The motor is cooled by surface cooling and natural convection. It has a high overload capability thanks to efficient heat dissipation from its windings to the outside walls of its housing.
Equipped with a plain shaft with a shaft sealing ring, a backlash-free, and non-positive torque transmission is guaranteed in the MDD115A-N-030-N2M-130GB1. The shaft sealing ring prevents liquid penetration into the motor’s housing along its shaft. This MDD model has a centering diameter of 130mm and a nominal speed of 3,000 revolutions per minute. Its rotor’s moment of inertia is 123 x 10-4 kgm2, while its theoretical maximum torque is 87.1Nm. There is also a holding torque with holding torque of 45.0Nm in this motor to ensure the back-lash free holding of the servo axis when the machine is powered off.
