Product Description
Drives with Bosch Rexroth’s MDD compact servo motors are used in robotics, machine tools, printing machines, and handling equipment. The servo motors are high-performance units which also form rapid-response automation systems when combined with Indramat digital drive controllers.
The MDD115A-N-030-N2M-130GA0 is a model of the powerful synchronous servo motors in Bosch Rexroth’s MDD series. It is coated with a black prime varnish with impressive resistance to chalky buildup, weathering, yellowing, dilute acids, and lyes. Based on its housing design, it supports cooling by natural convection, where a temperature gradient facilitates the exchange of heat with the ambient air. It is also cooled via surface cooling, allowing extreme loads. The servo motor’s housing is sealed, dustproof, touch-proof and safe from multidirectional water jet sprays. Hence, its Ingress Protection rating is IP 65 per DIN 40 050. This housing design also permits its safe use in adverse environmental conditions. In addition, the MDD model has a brushless design and lifetime-lubricated bearings.
Because its rotor is composed of permanent magnets made from special materials, the MDD115A-N-030-N2M-130GA0 has low inertia and a favorable torque-inertia ratio for highly dynamic operations. The servo motor is built with a thermal sensor in its stator to protect it from damage due to thermal overload by monitoring its temperature. Its nominal speed is 3,000 revolutions per minute, while its permissible peak current is 190.9A. This MDD model also features digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn absolute encoder of ±0.5 angular minutes system accuracy for the evaluation of its absolute indirect position. The encoder system eliminates the need for a separate encoder and preserves the absolute position even after power is shut off.
