Product Description
Bosch Rexroth‘s MDD synchronous motors are permanent magnet-excited motors with electronic commutation. Their permanent magnets are made of rare earth or iron oxide magnetic materials, giving them low inertia. The electronic commutation gives the motors a high power-to-weight ratio which supports its installation in any position. Their typical applications include machine tools, textile machines, printing and packaging machines, robotics, handling equipment, and transfer facilities. The use of these motors guarantees high contouring accuracies at high feed rates, especially when they are used for cutting at high-speed ranges
The MDD115A-N-030-N2L-180GB1 is a motor in the MDD digital AC servo motor series characterized by a high power density. This allows its use in highly dynamic applications such as roller feeds for pressing, punching, and nibbling machines and tools changing devices. For position evaluation, it is equipped with digital servo feedback, which measures its relative indirect position. It also has a blocking brake with 60Nm torque, holding its servo axes at a standstill when power is off. Its nominal speed is 3,000 rpm, and it has a customized pilot diameter of 180mm.
With a temperature sensor built into the windings of the MDD115A-N-030-N2L-180GB1, it is protected from damage by thermal overload. Its cooling method is via natural convection. The housing is standard in construction and design and follows the guidelines of the DIN 40050, and is completely sealed. Hence, it can be used safely under poor environmental conditions and within the machine's working area. Its operation should be at an ambient temperature between 0°C and 40°C and maximum relative humidity of 95%. Also, it should be set up at a maximum height of 1000m above mean sea level.
