Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s MDD servo motors are powerful motors that can be used with IndraDrive control units. They are permanent magnet excited motors with electronic commutation. When they are combined with IndraDrive controllers, they create cost-effective and rapid-response automation systems with extensive functionality. Different models are available in this series with varying degrees of torque and speed. They are used in tool machines, textile machines, printing and packaging machines, robotics, handling equipment, and transfer facilities.
One of the motors in the MDD motor series is the MDD115A-N-030-N2L-180GA1. This motor has a nominal speed of 3,000 rpm, and its pilot diameter is 180 mm. It has a high power density, and this makes it well-suited for applications with high dynamics, such as roller feeds, nibbling machines, and tool-changing devices. Digital servo feedback is its feedback option, and it is used for evaluating the relative indirect motor position. For a backlash-free and non-positive transmission of the torque, this motor is equipped with a plain output shaft. It has a 60Nm blocking brake which keeps the output shaft immobile when it is disconnected from power.
The housing of the MDD115A-N-030-N2L-180GA1 has a black prime coating that is resistant to weathering, yellowing, chalky build-ups, and diluted acids and lyes. It has an Ingress Protection rating of IP 65 that protects against damage from shock, penetration by extrinsic objects, and multidirectional water jet sprays. It runs a maintenance-free operation due to its brushless design and lifetime-lubricated bearings. This MDD motor can function effectively under adverse environmental conditions with its sealed housing and has high operational reliability. It has a temperature sensor built into its windings to protect it against overheating.
