Product Description
Future-proof servo motors like those in the MDD series by Bosch Rexroth can be tailored to suit multiple applications. For instance, they ensure high contouring accuracies at high feed rates, especially when used for cutting in high speed ranges.
The MDD115A-N-030-N2L-130PB1 is a compact synchronous servo motor in Bosch Rexroth’s MDD series with a high power density. As a result, it is ideal for highly dynamic applications like roller feeds for pressing, punching, and nibbling devices and tool changing devices. Its high overload capability is due to the efficient conduction of heat from its stator windings to the outside wall of its housing. It also has a high cyclic load capacity for continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates because of its electronic commutation feature. Thanks to its brushless design and bearing that remains lubricated throughout its service life, it can be operated maintenance-free. The nominal service life of the bearing is 30,000 operating hours.
High radial loads can be applied with the MDD115A-N-030-N2L-130PB1, simplifying its design by the direct attachment of pinions and belt pulleys to the shaft. It is cooled by natural convection and surface cooling and comes with a thermal sensor in its stator winding to prevent damage due to thermal overload. The Ingress Protection rating of this MDD model is IP 65, as its housing is completely sealed. Hence, it can be safely operated in poor environmental conditions with minimal risks of damage. A black prime coat is the varnish of the motor, and it displays high resistance to yellowing, chalky buildup, weathering, and lyes. Its nominal speed is 3,000 revolutions per minute, and its encoder system is digital servo feedback.
