The MDD115A-N-020-N2L-130GR1 is a high torque AC servo motor. The motor can generate a 28 Nm torque when operated at standstill mode. This model has a 1500 rpm speed. It is used in conjunction with the smart AC motor drive systems produced by the company. The MDD115A-N-020-N2L-130GR1's enclosure comes with complete protection from exposure to high voltage, damage by harmful objects, and the incursion of water splashes. This is because of the enclosure's design in accordance with the DIN 40050 guidelines. The motor’s high torque to volume ratio means that it can be used in all areas that demand high torque output. Because of its high dynamic capabilities, the servo motor is frequently used in textile industries, printing industries, woodworking industries, and metal machining industries. The servo motor is compatible with relative and absolute encoders.

An optical system has been built in the motor for speed and position control. For relative measurement mode, a DSF (digital servo feedback) system has been installed in the servo motor. The DSF system is a comprehensive platform and removes the need to use separate incremental encoders with the system. For avoiding an overtemperature fault, a built temperature measurement device is provided with the system. The device constantly monitors the motor winding temperature and indicates temperature rise beyond safe values. To extend the MDD115A-N-020-N2L-130GR1’s service life, its brushed design has been replaced and electronic commutations have been used. This reduces mechanical wear and also enables the motor to function seamlessly when high-speed reciprocating motion is required. The motor also used pre-lubricated bearings.
