Product Description
Bosch Rexroth's MDD synchronous motors are advanced and dynamic and can be used across different industries. They are permanent magnet-excited motors with electronic commutation. These motors are combined with the Indramat digital drive controllers to create cost-effective and rapid-response automation systems. They guarantee high contouring accuracies at high feed rates. These features make them suitable for use in printing and packaging machines, textiles machines, tool machines, robotics, handling equipment, and transfer facilities.
The MDD112D-N-040-N2L-130PA2 is a motor in the MDD motor series specially designed for high-precision operations where an extreme degree of synchronism is required, like in grinding machines. Its output shaft is a shaft with a keyway according to DIN 6885-1 for form-fitting shaft-hub-connections. It is equipped with a blocking brake with 40.0 Nm torque for a backlash-free holding of the servo axis when the machine is disconnected from power. This motor has a nominal speed of 4,000 rpm and a standard centering diameter of 130mm.
Digital servo feedback is the motor feedback option of the MDD112D-N-040-N2L-130PA2. It allows the relative indirect evaluation of the motor's position and stores it in the intelligent digital drive. This integrated encoder system promises high precision because it functions with the optical measurement method. The motor's housing design permits cooling by natural convection and surface cooling, which allows it to be used for operations that involve extreme loads. This design is according to the guidelines of the DIN 40 050 with a protection rating of IP 65. It means the motor is protected against contact to high voltage with motor parts, either moving or alive. The penetration of the motor by solid extrinsic objects and water jet sprays is also prevented.
