Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s MDD motors are versatile permanent magnet-excited servo motors. They are characterized by high speeds and torques and impressive precision. Some applications of drives with these motors are textile machines, food packaging machines, and robotics.
The MDD112D-N-030-N2L-130GR1 is a Bosch Rexroth synchronous servo motor with a blocking brake of 14.0Nm torque. Using the closed-circuit principle, this blocking brake holds the servo axes backlash free when the machine is powered off. The servo motor is built to last as seen in its sealed housing, with an Ingress Protection rating of IP 65 according to DIN 40 050. This housing does not admit solid external materials or water jets sprayed at it from different directions. It is also coated with a black prime paint that resists damage by chalky buildup, weathering, yellowing, dilute acids, and lyes. The MDD model is equipped with a temperature monitoring system comprising a thermal sensor in its windings to prevent damage due to overload. It is cooled by natural convection.
Electronic commutation gives the MDD112D-N-030-N2L-130GR1 a high cyclic load capacity. This permits the motor’s safe use in demanding applications like continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates. It supports maintenance-free operation thanks to features like its lifetime-lubricated bearings and brushless design. The output shaft of the MDD model is the plain type that guarantees a non-positive shaft-hub connection with zero backlash. It comes with a sealing ring to prevent fluid leakage into the shaft, extending the motor’s service life. Its nominal speed is 3,000 revolutions per minute, while its centering diameter is 130mm. It also generates a theoretical maximum torque of 130.2Nm and accommodates a maximum current of 222.2A.
