Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s MDD AC servo motors are permanent magnet-excited synchronous motors with electronic commutation. The permanent magnets are made of rare earth or iron oxide magnetic materials. The electronic commutation gives them a high cyclic load capacity, making them suitable for continuous start-stop applications with high repetition rates. These motors are used in printing and packaging machines, textile machines, tool machines, robotics, handling equipment, and transfer facilities.
The MDD112D-N-020-R2L-130GA2 is a model of the MDD AC servo motors. It comes fitted with a 60.0 Nm blocking brake used for holding the servo axes when the motor is not in use. This motor has a plain output shaft for non-positive shaft-hub connections. Its integrated encoder system is the digital servo feedback for detecting the relative indirect position of the motor. This encoder uses the optical measurement method and has a data storage capability for filing the motor's parameters. The nominal speed of this MDD model is 2,000 revolutions per minute, and its centering diameter is 130 mm.
With a balance class R according to DIN VDE 0530, the MDD112D-N-020-R2L-130GA2 is suitable for demanding operations as seen in grinding machines and servo motors in main spindle applications. The housing design is standard, and this enables cooling by natural convection. Heat dissipation is via natural convection to the ambient air and by heat conduction into the machine construction. This motor is equipped with a temperature sensor built into its windings to monitor its temperature and prevent overload damage. It should be operated at a maximum ambient temperature of 40°C and relative humidity of 95%. Additionally, it should be set up at a maximum height of 1000m.
