Product Description
Rapid-response automation systems are the result of the combination of the powerful MDD servo motors with Indramat digital intelligent drive controllers. The compact servo motors have favorable torque-inertia ratios for highly dynamic operations. Drives with the motors are used in robotics, handling facilities, etc.
The MDD112D-N-020-N2M-130GA1 is a model of the MDD servo motors with electronic commutation. It is ideal for continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates due to its high cyclic load capacity and is resistant to failure due to fatigue. Operating this motor within the direct working area of the machine poses no risks of damage as it is enclosed in a housing with an Ingress Protection rating of IP 65 per DIN 40 050. This means it is touch-proof, dustproof, and impervious to water jets from different directions. Its power and feedback cables also correspond with this protection category, improving the motor’s operational reliability. The housing’s coat is a black prime varnish with high-level resistance to weathering, yellowing, chalky build-up, lyes, and dilute acids.
Digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn absolute encoder evaluates the absolute indirect position of the MDD112D-N-020-N2M-130GA1. It has a data memory where the motor’s parameters are stored so that they are set on startup. This ensures that the drive can be operated without damage to the motor. The brushless design and lifetime-lubricated bearings of the MDD model aid its maintenance-free operation. Its bearings have a nominal service life of 30,000 operating hours. Pinions and belt pulleys can be directly attached to the motor’s shaft because its bearings allow the application of high radial loads. Its shaft is plain, providing a non-positive shaft-hub connection with zero backlash.
