Product Description
Bosch Rexroth provides customizable solutions to meet industry-specific needs. Its MDD synchronous servo motors combine with digital drive controllers from Indramat to form rapid-response automation systems. They are used in transfer facilities, handling equipment, and textile machines.
The MDD112D-N-020-N2L-180PB2 is a model of the electronically commutated digital AC servo motors in Bosch Rexroth’s MDD series. It features digital servo feedback, a precise encoder system that evaluates its relative indirect position. This encoder version stores the relative position in the intelligent digital drive and replaces separate incremental encoders. Its system accuracy is ±0.5 angular minutes. The servo motor has a brushless design to boost its durability by reducing the risk of downtime due to wear and tear. It also uses lifetime-lubricated bearings with a nominal service life of 30,000 operating hours, ensuring its maintenance-free operation. Its nominal speed is 2,000 revolutions per minute, and it generates a theoretical maximum torque of 134.8Nm.
There is a reduced risk of damage caused by weathering, yellowing, and chalky buildup with the MDD112D-N-020-N2L-180PB2. This is because its housing’s coat is a black prime varnish with high resistance against such conditions. It also protects dilute acids and lyes. The housing is sealed, meeting the demands of the IP 65 protection category in line with DIN 40 050. Consequently, it can be safely operated within the direct working area of the machine, even under poor environmental conditions. This MDD servo motor is cooled by natural convection and surface cooling. The thermal sensors built into its stator windings create an effective temperature monitoring system to prevent irreversible damage due to thermal overload. It has a centering diameter of 180mm.
