Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s MDD servo motors are synchronous motors used to create rapid-response automation systems when combined with the Indramat digital drive controllers. These motors are permanent magnet-excited with electronic commutation. There are nine motors with different continuous torques, speeds, and applications in the MDD series. They guarantee high contouring accuracies at high feed rates, especially when they are used for cutting at high-speed ranges. Their areas of application include printing and packaging machines, textile machines, tool machines, robotics, handling equipment, and transfer facilities.
The MDD112D-N-020-N2L-130PA1 is a motor in the MDD motor series used for high precision applications where an extreme degree of synchronism is required, like grinding machines. It is equipped with an integrated optical encoder system: digital servo feedback. This allows the relative indirect recording of the motor's position and stores it in the intelligent digital drive. The motor’s electronic commutation gives it a high cyclic load capacity, permitting its use in continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates. It comes with a 14.0Nm blocking brake for a backlash-free holding of the servo axes when the machine is in a de-energized state.
For form-fitting shaft-hub connections, the MDD112D-N-020-N2L-130PA1 features a shaft with a keyway, according to DIN 6885-1. Its housing design is standard and in line with DIN 40050. This makes it suitable for cooling via natural convection and surface cooling. This housing design also gives the motor high overload capabilities as heat is lost via conduction from the stator windings to the outside wall of the motor housing. It also has a temperature sensor built into its windings to monitor its temperature and prevent overload damage. Furthermore, it has a brushless design.
