Product Description
Bosch Rexroth manufactures solutions for the automation challenges in the global drive and motion industry. The digital MDD AC servo motors are permanent magnet-excited synchronous motors with electronic commutation whose magnets are obtained from rare earth or iron oxide magnetic materials. Different models are available in this series with varying degrees of torque and speed. They are combined with intelligent IndraDrive controllers to create cost-effective and rapid-response automation systems.
The motor feedback of the MDD112D-N-020-N2L-130GB2 is digital servo feedback, which permits a relative indirect position evaluation of its speed and the detection of its rotor position. This integrated motor feedback promises high precision because it functions with the optical measurement method. Hence, the motor is used for high precision applications where an extreme degree of synchronism is required, like grinding machines. It is equipped with a temperature sensor built into its windings to monitor its temperature and prevent overload damage. Heat elimination from the motor is via natural convection, giving it a high overload capability.
To ensure a backlash-free and non-positive transmission of the torque, the MDD112D-N-020-N2L-130GB2 is equipped with a plain output shaft. The motor has a 40.0 Nm blocking brake used for holding the servo axes when the motor is at a standstill. Its ideal operation should be at an ambient temperature of 40°C and a maximum setup height of 1000 m above the mean sea level. This motor's housing design is standard and in line with the guidelines of the DIN 40050. It protects the motor against the penetration of solid extrinsic objects and water sprayed from different directions. The nominal speed of this MDD model is 2,000 revolutions per minute.
