Product Description
Built on a legacy of innovation, Bosch Rexroth continues to deliver cutting-edge drive and automation units. Drives with its MDD synchronous servo motors are used in robotics and printing machines.
The MDD112D-N-020-N2L-130GA3 is one of the digital AC servo motors in the MDD series designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It is equipped with a plain output shaft and a sealing ring to prevent fluids from entering the motor. This protects the motor from damage and users from accidents. The shaft ensures a non-positive shaft-hub connection with zero backlash. Like other MDD servo motors, this model is enclosed in a housing coated with a black prime varnish that is resistant to weathering, chalky buildup, yellowing, dyes, and dilute acids. Since the housing is also built to meet the IP 65 standard, the motor can be used within the direct working area of the machine with minimal risks of damage. Its power and feedback cables are also IP 65-rated.
Heat generated during the operation of the MDD112D-N-020-N2L-130GA3 is eliminated via surface cooling and natural convection. It is protected from damage due to thermal overload by a sensor integrated into its windings for monitoring its temperature. Thanks to the motor’s compact construction, it has a high power-to-weight ratio. Its brushless design enhances its durability by allowing maintenance-free operation since there are fewer parts at risk of wear and tear. Another feature that contributes to this is its lifetime-lubricated bearings. The motor is suitable for continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates due to a high overload capability and electronic commutation. Its nominal speed is 2,000 revolutions per minute, and it can generate a theoretical maximum torque of 134.8Nm.
