Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s high quality digital AC servo motors are the result of years of research and experience. The MDD synchronous motors by the company are high-performance servo motors that form cost-effective, rapid-response automation systems when they are combined with Indramat digital drive controllers.
The MDD112D-N-020-N2G-130PB3/S040 is one of the maintenance-free synchronous servo motors of the MDD series designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It is a permanent magnet-excited motor whose rotor’s permanent magnets are composed of rare earth and iron oxide materials. This is why the motor has low inertia and a favorable torque-to-inertia ratio. It also has a thermal sensor in its stator windings to prevent damage by temperature overload. Its temperature is also well managed since the heat generated during its operation is effectively dissipated from its stator windings to the walls of its housing, giving it a high overload capability. The nominal lifetime of the motor’s bearing is 30,000 operating hours, and it allows high radial loads to be applied.
Cooling is achieved via natural convection and surface cooling in the MDD112D-N-020-N2G-130PB3/S040. It also has electronic commutation; hence, it has high cyclic load capacity and is ideal for extreme loads like continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates. The motor is also suitable for applications where high-level precision and synchronism are required such as grinding machines. Its output shaft is one with a keyway per DIN 6885, allowing form-fitting torque transmission and shaft-hub connections. This shaft comes with a shaft sealing ring that prevents fluids from entering the motor housing through the shaft to cause damage. The blocking brake in the MDD motor has a torque of 60.0Nm.
