Product Description
Distinguishing features of the MDD servo motors by Bosch Rexroth include their compact size, high synchronous operation features, and excellent power-to-weight ratio. They are used to create rapid-response automation systems with intelligent digital drive controllers from Indramat. Their applications include textile machines, robotics, and handling equipment.
The MDD112D-N-015-N2M-180PA2 is a compact synchronous servo motor in the MDD series designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It reaches a nominal speed of 1,500 revolutions per minute and has a rotor with a moment of inertia of 230 x 10-4 kgm2. This rotor’s permanent magnet is made from special materials that give the servo motor low inertia. Digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn absolute encoder in the servo motor detects its absolute indirect position with a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular minutes. Even after power is shut off, the absolute position of the axis is preserved with this encoder. It has a data memory that also stores parameters like the motor type name and control loop parameters to make its startup faster.
An output shaft with keyway and a shaft sealing ring are present in the MDD112D-N-015-N2M-180PA2 to provide form-fitting torque transmission. The shaft sealing ring prevents fluids from entering the motor through the shaft. This MDD model has a temperature sensor in its windings to prevent damage due to overheating. It is cooled via natural convection and surface cooling, accommodating extreme loads. With electronic commutation, it also has a high cyclic load capacity, so it is suitable for continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates. Ideally, this MDD synchronous servo motor should be installed at a maximum height of 1,000m above mean sea level.
