Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s MDD synchronous servo motors are permanent magnet-excited motors with a compact build and varying torques and speeds. They ensure high contouring accuracies at high feed rates when used for cutting in high speed ranges. Drives with these motors are used in machine tools and robotics.
The MDD112D-N-015-N2L-180GA1 is one of Bosch Rexroth’s MDD synchronous servo motors. It features a brushless design with bearings that remain lubricated throughout their service life. Together, these allow the motor to be operated maintenance-free. These bearings also support the direct installation of pinions and belt pulleys and have a nominal lifetime of 30,000 operating hours. The motor housing is coated with a black prime coat that is resistant to weathering, yellowing, and chalky build-ups. It is also completely sealed with an Ingress Protection rating of IP 65 according to EN 60529; hence, it can be safely operated under poor environmental conditions. This MDD model’s output shaft is the plain type with a radial shaft sealing ring.
Iron oxide and rare earth materials are used in the construction of the rotors of the MDD112D-N-015-N2L-180GA1, giving it low inertia and a resulting low torque-inertia ratio. Its electronic commutation feature gives it a high cyclic load capacity; hence, it is ideal for continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates. The motor feedback of this MDD model is digital servo feedback with a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular minutes. Its measurement system is optical, guaranteeing high precision. It also has a data memory where the motor’s parameters, including its type name, are stored. The required ambient temperature for its operation is a maximum of 45oC, and its permissible maximum installation height is 1,000m.
