Product Description
When the MDD servo motors by Bosch Rexroth are combined with Indramat digital drive controllers, rapid-response systems are formed. They are powerful motors with different torques and speeds that guarantee high contouring accuracies at high feed rates, especially with cutting in high speed ranges.
The MDD112D-N-015-N2L-180GA0 is a permanent magnet-excited synchronous servo motor in the MDD series designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It has a compact build with a high power-to-weight ratio and favorable torque-inertia ratio. With electronic commutation, it has a high cyclic load capacity that makes it suitable for continuous start-stop operations with increased repetition rates. The motor also has a brushless design and lifetime lubricated bearings that allow maintenance-free operation. Its sealed housing has an IP 65 Ingress Protection rating according to EN 60529, indicating that it will not admit solid extrinsic objects or water jet sprays. This makes its safe operation under poor environmental conditions possible.
Since the bearing of the MDD112D-N-015-N2L-180GA0 supports the direct attachment of belt pulleys to the shaft, high radial loads can be applied. It is cooled by natural convection and has an inbuilt thermal sensor to monitor its temperature and prevent damage due to thermal overload. The motor’s nominal speed is 1,500 revolutions per minute, while its rotor’s moment of inertia is 230 x 10-4. It is fitted with a plain output shaft for a non-positive shaft-hub connection with zero backlash and a radial shaft sealing ring. Its centering diameter is 180mm, and it can attain a theoretical maximum torque of 132.4Nm. This MDD model is a product of Balance Class N per DIN VDE 0530. Its permissible maximum ambient temperature for operation is 45oC.
