Product Description
Bosch Rexroth is invested in the development of highly efficient and future-proof drive products. Its MDD motors come with different torques and speeds, providing solutions to different automation challenges. Drives with these synchronous motors are typically used in machine tools, printing machines, and robotics.
The MDD112D-N-015-N2L-130PB3 is a compact MDD servo motor with electronic commutation. This means it possesses a high cyclic load capacity, enabling it to withstand fatigue due to repeated stress cycles. As a result, it is ideal for continuous start-stop operations with high repetitive frequencies. The servo motor is cooled by natural convection and has a high overload capability, thanks to efficient heat dissipation from its stator windings to the outside walls of its housing. Its feedback system is digital servo feedback, working with a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular minutes. It evaluates the motor’s relative indirect position and stores this information in the intelligent digital drive. This eliminates the need for a separate incremental encoder.
Rare-earth materials comprise the permanent magnets of the MDD112D-N-015-N2L-130PB3’s rotor, giving it a low inertia. It also has a torque-inertia ratio that is suitable for dynamic operations. The rotor’s moment of inertia is 230 x 10-4 kgm2. This MDD model has a centering diameter of 130mm and a nominal speed of 1,500 revolutions per minute. It is equipped with an output shaft with keyway per DIN 6885-1, guaranteeing a form-fitting torque transmission and improved alignment. Like others in this series, the motor’s housing is IP-65-rated, indicating that it will not admit solid external materials or multidirectional water jets. It is also coated with a black prime varnish that is highly resistant to weathering, yellowing, and chalky build-up.
