The Bosch MDD112D-N-015-N2L-130PB0 is a MDD synchronous servo motor. Synchronous motors have their speed synchronized to the input current frequency. Servo motors share feedback – speed and position measurements – with a servo controller. MDD motors support integrated temperature monitoring: the motor shuts off if the winding temperature exceeds a pre-defined threshold. The brushless design and use of life-time lubricated bearings allows maintenance free motor operation. IP65 protection rating – enabled by a sealed housing and connectors – allow motor use under poor environmental conditions. These factors combine to give MDD motors a very high operating reliability. The MDD112D-N-015-N2L-130PB0 motor comes with a standard housing that supports both convection cooling and surface cooling. Convection cooling allows the motor to operate at lower output torque, while surface cooling enables higher output torque.
Therefore the choice of cooling method depends on the application load requirements. However it should be noted that surface cooling requires installation of a cooling fan to blow forced air across the motor housing. The MDD112D-N-015-N2L-130PB0 motor delivers rated output when the ambient temperature is between 0 and 45 degrees Celsius. Motor operation outside these limits leads to performance derating. The MDD112D-N-015-N2L-130PB0 motor is equipped with a shaft that includes a keyway. It also supports digital servo feedback. The rated motor speed is 1500 RPM. If required, operators can order a blocking brake for their MDD motors. However, the MDD112D-N-015-N2L-130PB0 motor is without a blocking brake. The power connection on the motor is located on side B. The motor centering diameter is 130 millimeters. Installation by trained personnel is essential for minimizing installation errors. Only accessories approved by Bosch should be used with MDD motors. No modification to motor hardware or software is permitted.
