Product Description
Drives with the MDD synchronous motors by Bosch Rexroth have numerous applications in factory automation. The servo motors provide cost-effective solutions in robotics, handling equipment, printing and packaging machines, and transfer facilities. They are also combined with Indramat digital drive controllers to build rapid-response automation systems.
The MDD112D-N-015-N2L-130PA0 is a model of the synchronous servo motors in Bosch Rexroth’s MDD series. It is fitted with an output shaft with a keyway according to DIN 6885 and a shaft sealing ring that protects it from being penetrated by harmful oils and chemicals. This shaft permits form-fitting torque transmission and is suitable for applications with less demands. By design, the motor’s housing is completely sealed, making it impenetrable by solid extrinsic materials, including dust. It is also protected against jet water from all directions; hence, its Ingress Protection rating according to EN 60529 is IP 65. This design also allows it to be safely operated under adverse environmental conditions.
With digital servo feedback as its motor feedback option, the MDD112D-N-015-N2L-130PA0 works with digital drive controllers to ensure precise positioning. The encoder evaluates the motor’s relative indirect position and stores it in the digital drive. It has a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular minutes and is built with a data memory where the motor type name and other relevant parameters are stored. The brushless design of this MDD model and its lifetime-lubricated bearings allows it to be operated maintenance-free. These bearings support high radial loads and the direct attachment of pinions and belt pulleys to the shaft. The motor’s nominal speed is 1,500 revolutions per minute and its rotor’s moment of inertia is 230 x 10-4 kgm2.
