Product Description
Several features distinguish the MDD servo motors designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. They include high torque density, slender construction, and high cyclic load capacity. These digital AC servo motors are used to solve automation challenges in textile machines, robotics, and machine tools.
The MDD112D-N-015-N2L-130GB1 is a model of the self-cooling servo motors in the MDD series designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It uses natural convection as a cooling mechanism and has high overload capability because heat is optimally eliminated from its stator windings to the walls of its housing. This housing is coated in a black prime varnish that is resistant to yellowing, weathering, dilute acids, and lyes. It is completely sealed and has an IP 65 Ingress Protection rating, which means that it is dustproof and touch-proof. The MDD model is especially suited for high-precision applications where enhanced synchronism is required, as seen in grinding machines. It also supports maintenance-free operation with its brushless design and bearings that stay lubricated throughout their service life.
A theoretical maximum torque of 132.4 Nm can be generated by the MDD112D-N-015-N2L-130PA1, and it can reach a nominal speed of 1,500 revolutions per minute. Its rotor is made from permanent magnets composed of iron oxide or rare-earth materials, giving the motor low inertia. The motor is fitted with an output shaft with a keyway according to DIN 6885 and a shaft sealing ring. It also features a blocking brake of 14.0 Nm torque to ensure a backlash-free holding of the servo axes when the machine is disconnected from power. To control its speed and detect its relative indirect position, it uses digital servo feedback.
