The Bosch Rexroth MDD112C-N-040-N2M-130PB2 is an AC servo motor. Together with intelligent digital drive controllers, servo motors of the MDD series create cost-effective and rapid-response automation systems. Drives systems that use MDD motors are well-suited to applications such as transfer facilities, packaging machines, robotics and handling equipment. MDD112 motors are designed for applications where a high degree of synchronism is required. MDD motors are made with permanent magnets that enable construction of motors with low inertia. The motor housing is fully sealed and the connections for the feedback cable and power cable are constructed according to IP65 protection rating. As a result MDD motors can be used directly within the working are of the machinery even under adverse environmental conditions. Installation of MDD motors is simple and a flange design with through holes permits easy mounting.
The MDD112C-N-040-N2M-130PB2 is suited to natural convection or surface cooling. Extreme loads required surface cooling while normal loads can be handled by natural convection. The shaft on the MDD112C-N-040-N2M-130PB2 includes a keyway for form-fitting shaft-hub connections. The nominal motor speed is 4000 RPM. The MDD112C-N-040-N2M-130PB2 also includes a 40 Nm blocking brake that releases at 24 Volts DC. The power connection is on side B of the motor. Digital servo feedback is enabled through an integrated multiturn absolute encoder. This feedback enables position and speed evaluation and detection of rotor position with absolute position detection. The centering diameter is 130 millimeters. The power and the motor feedback cables are directly connected to the motor by means of connectors on the corresponding flanged socket. Ambient conditions for motor operation are 0 to 45 degrees Celsius temperature and 0 to 1000 meter altitude.
