Product Description
Drives with Bosch Rexroth’s synchronous MDD servo motors are well-suited for diverse applications. These include handling equipment, printing machines, handling equipment, and machine tools. The servo motors with electronic commutation are available in varying torques and speeds for industry-specific applications.
The MDD112C-N-040-N2M-130GB2 is one of the servo motors with a brushless design in Bosch Rexroth’s MDD series. This brushless design reduces maintenance requirements and increases its overall reliability since there is less mechanical wear and fewer points of failure. It also provides a high power density, allowing for better torque output with faster acceleration and deceleration. Another feature of the servo motor that aids its maintenance-free operation is its use of lifetime-lubricated bearings. They have a nominal service life of 30,000 operating hours and improve the motor’s efficiency by reducing friction and energy losses. The nominal speed of the MDD motor is 4,000 revolutions per minute, and it generates a theoretical maximum torque of 100.1Nm.
Several protective features improve the durability of the MDD112C-N-040-N2M-130GB2. One of these is the thermal sensor built into its stator windings to monitor its temperature and prevent irreversible damage due to thermal overload. It is also enclosed in a housing with an Ingress Protection rating of IP 65 in line with DIN 40 050. This prevents the penetration of solid external materials and water jets from different directions. The housing is coated with a black prime varnish with high-level resistance to chalky buildup, yellowing, and weathering. This varnish also protects against the effects of dilute acids and lyes. Digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn absolute encoder in the MDD motor model detects its absolute indirect position.
