Product Description
Bosch Rexroth developed the MDD digital AC servo motors as cost-effective modern devices with a high level of versatility. They are designed to guarantee high contouring accuracies at high feeds, especially during cutting in high-speed ranges. When integrated with Indramat drive controllers, they form optimal automation systems for most automation demands. Their typical applications include handling equipment, transfer facilities, tool machines, textile machines, etc.
The MDD112C-N-040-N2L-180GB1 is an MDD motor model with a digital servo feedback encoder. This motor encoder operates optically with a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular minutes, and it detects the relative indirect position of the rotor in 4,096 motor revolutions. The MSK motor has a theoretical maximum torque of 100.1Nm and a winding inductance of 0.9mH. It also has a winding resistance of 0.08 Ohms at 20°C and is equipped with a 14.0Nm holding brake operating on the electrical release principle. This brake is deployed to clamp the motor's axis when the machine is destabilized.
Like other MDD motors, the housing varnish of the MDD112C-N-040-N2L-180GB1 is a black prime coat (RAL 9005) to which extra layers of paint can be added, provided a thickness of 40um is not exceeded. This motor exhibits high overload capabilities because heat is effectively conducted from the stator windings to its outside walls. It is also an IP 65-rated product; thus, it has complete protection against dust penetration and cannot be damaged by low-pressure water jets. Also, its specified transportation conditions require a temperature range of -20°C to +80°C. A plain output shaft is available on this motor to mount drive elements and enable a backlash-free and non-positive transmission of the torque.
