Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s servo motors are powerful drive units suitable for diverse applications. The company’s MDD synchronous servo motors form cost-effective rapid-response automation systems when combined with Indramat digital drive controllers. Drives with the motors are used in robotics and machine tools.
The MDD112C-N-030-N2M-130PB1 is a model of Bosch Rexroth’s MDD servo motors with a brushless design and lifetime-lubricated bearings. It has a compact build that supports its installation in any position and gives it a high power-to-weight ratio. Its rotor’s permanent magnet is composed of materials that give it low inertia, resulting in a favorable torque-inertia ratio for high dynamics. This motor also has electronic commutation, which gives it a high cyclic load capacity for continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates. The heat generated during its operation is eliminated by natural convection and surface cooling. It also has a thermal sensor built into its stator winding for temperature monitoring and to prevent damage by thermal overload.
Excellent position detection is achieved with digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn encoder in the MDD112C-N-030-N2M-130PB1. The encoder has a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular minutes and a data memory that stores the motor type name, control loop parameters, and other relevant information. This reduces its startup time and allows its safe adaptation to the drive controller. Like other MDD models, the motor’s housing is sealed and has an IP 65 Ingress Protection rating per DIN 40050. This means it is dustproof, touch-proof, and safe from the penetration of water jet sprays. Its output shaft is the type with a keyway, according to DIN 6885-1, and a shaft sealing ring to prevent fluids from penetrating through the shaft.
