Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s MDD motor series consists of permanent magnet-excited servo motors with different continuous torques and speeds, suited for various applications. They assure high contouring accuracies at high feedrates, especially when used for cutting at high speed ranges.
The MDD112C-N-030-N2M-130GA3 is a model of the synchronous servo motors of the MDD series by Bosch Rexroth. It uses natural convection and surface cooling for heat dissipation where the heat is exchanged with the ambient air. With the thermal sensor in its stator windings, damage due to overheating is avoided. Another protective feature of the motor is the sealing ring of its plain shaft that prevents fluids from penetrating through it. The shaft provides a non-positive shaft-hub connection with zero backlash. Thanks to the black prime coating covering its housing, it is protected from the harmful effects of yellowing, chalky buildups, lyes, and weathering. This MDD model has a nominal speed of 3,000 revolutions per minute and a centering diameter of 130mm.
Digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn absolute encoder is present in the MDD112C-N-030-N2M-130GA3, and it replaces the use of separate incremental encoders. It uses the optical measurement method to detect the motor’s absolute indirect position and retains the absolute position of the axis when power is shut off. The data memory of the encoder stores the motor type name and control loop parameters so that the motor’s startup time is reduced. To ensure its maintenance-free operation and improve operational reliability, the servo motor has a brushless design and lifetime-lubricated bearings. Its Ingress Protection rating, according to DIN 40 050, is IP 65, indicating that it is touch-proof, dustproof, and impervious to water jet sprays.
