Product Description
Bosch Rexroth manufactures solutions for the automation challenges in the global drive and motion industry. The MDD digital AC servo motors are one of these, with unique designs used for a wide variety of functions. They are permanent magnet-excited synchronous motors with electronic commutation whose magnets are obtained from rare earth or iron oxide magnetic materials. There are nine motors with various continuous torques, speeds, and applications in the MDD series. They are used with intelligent Indramat drive controllers to create cost-effective and rapid-response automation systems.
As a high-precision motor, the MDD112C-N-030-N2L-180GB1 is used in applications where an extreme degree of synchronism is required, like grinding machines. Its motor feedback is the digital servo feedback used for relative indirect position evaluation and speed detection. This feedback is equipped with data storage capacities in which the motor parameters are stored. There is a plain shaft for non-positive shaft hub connections and the backlash-free, non-positive transmission of the torque in this model. It has a 14.0Nm blocking brake for a backlash-free holding of the servo axes when the machine is powered off.
The MDD112C-N-030-N2L-180GB1 has a standard housing design that adheres to the protection guidelines of the DIN 40050. It is protected against shock, penetration by extrinsic objects, and water. This housing design also enables heat dissipation by natural convection, which gives it a high overload capability. It has a black prime coating that is immune to weathering, yellowing, chalky build-ups, and diluted acids and lyes. For an ideal operation, this MDD synchronous servo motor should be used at a maximum ambient temperature of 40°C and a maximum setup height of 1000m above the mean sea level.
